About

Centives is an economics blog that focuses on the fun and quirky side of economics. It was originally started by students at Lehigh University. We stay away from the political and controversial not because it’s not important (it is!) but because there are much smarter minds than ours at work trying to figure it all out.

We spend most of our time linking to interesting things around the web, and we call them Daily Bulletins. You can find them over here. We also work very hard to produce our own interesting content, we call them Editorials, and you can see a list of the stuff that we wrote over here. Our most popular ones can be seen in the Greatest Hits section.

If you want to stay up to date with what we do and find answers to questions such as “How much do I have to save to go to Hogwarts?” “How many zombies would it take to defeat the Nazis?” and “Are weather prediction sites lying to me?” then follow us on Twitter and Facebook and check back often for our editorials.

We love hearing from you. Feel free to leave a comment on any of our articles – you don’t need to sign in or anything. You can talk to us at our Skype channel: https://join.skype.com/BbexvaRu9bdC. If you really like us and have the time, then drop us an email at Voice@Centives.net We appreciate comments, criticisms, jokes, idle thoughts, witty banter, life lessons, memorable experiences and…well…anything really.

Happy Browsing!

    Dear CENTIVES

Thank you for your time! This is Bella from Beijing Qianmu IP Firm. We appreciate your forwarding this email to your legal department or IP lawyer.

It seems that someone is trying to register your trademark. Please see below the abstract for your reference.

Let us know if you need the official trademark gazette from CNIPA(China National Intellectual Property Administration) .

    Trademark Capture: CENTIVES

    Provisional Approval No.: 51021344

    Class: 9

    Published Date: 2021-05-06

    Opposition Deadline:2021-08-06

    Applicant:厦门小屯网络科技有限公司

This mark is obviously identical with your own. The application of subject mark may cause likelihood of confusion between the consumers, who may think that goods with the captioned mark is from your company. If no objection filed before deadline, the registration process will be completed, and the applicant will obtain the exclusive right in Chinese Mainland.

The registration of subject mark is bound to obstruct the progress of your project referring to pursuing Chinese markets. What was worse is that once the applicant files record to Chinese Customs, your products will be totally shut out from China.

Pursuant to China Trademark Law – Article 33:

Prior right holder or stakeholder may raise an opposition to the trademark bureau within 3 months from the date of gazette.

Where no opposition is raised during the gazette period, the trademark shall be registered, a trademark registration certificate shall be issued and the registered trademark shall be gazetted.

Should you need further information, pls feel free to contact us. Thank you!

    Yours truly,

    Bella
