She concludes that &#8220;Americans should be bracing\u2026a costly clean-up bill.&#8221; Some of the more interesting points from her analysis include:\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hurricanes are the most expensive type of disaster. Over the past twenty years, natural disasters have seen insurance companies pay out $349.3 billion.
