Dana Stuster outlined the argument of Merger of the Century: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B00ENH6ZIC\/ref=as_li_ss_til?tag=centives-20&amp;camp=0&amp;creative=0&amp;linkCode=as4&amp;creativeASIN=B00ENH6ZIC&amp;adid=0C1224X5PT1FKCTSYYNX&amp;\">Why Canada and America Should Become One Country<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A merger of the two countries would create the world&#8217;s biggest economy \u2013 even greater than that of the European Union.<\/li>\n<li>It would also be the world&#8217;s largest landmass, exceeding Russia&#8217;s size.<\/li>\n<li>Canada has an energy-resource rich north while America has the expertise and capital to develop this region. The two could come together for an economic bonanza.<\/li>\n<li>Since America and Canada are each other&#8217;s largest trading partners this would mean that trade deficits would shrink.<\/li>\n<li>If Canadian states are just absorbed into America then the country could still be called the United States of America.
